PROFESSIONAL HORSEMEN'S ASSOCIATION

The Dutchess County Professional Horsemen's Association is one of sixteen nationwide chapters which make up the National PHA. The purpose of the Professional Horsemen's Association is to give aid and sustenance to needy members; to provide educational aid to professional members and children of professional members through a scholarship fund; to promote and foster interest in the horse industry; and to aid in the protection and care of horses through education.
Over its 75-year history, the PHA has contributed to many of its needy members and numerous organizations and charities.
SCHOLARSHIP
The scholarship fund provides financial assistance from a fund established for children of professional members, or professional members of more than two years, who are enrolled in an approved school for the advancement of their education beyond elementary level.
